The activity of Platform 20k research laboratory is focused on developing ways to prevent cardiovascular diseases and detect them in early stages. To save the lives of individuals and to increase the health level of the nation.



HRV (Heart Rate Variability) analysis is an established method of monitoring for various health parameters:

  • Cardiovascular
  • Respiratory
  • Muscular
  • Nervous system
  • Glandular system
  • Emotional states
  • Immunity factors
  • Stress
  • Circadian rhythm
  • Signs of ageing, etc.

But in order to make accurate and, most importantly, lifestyle changing conclusions the measuring must be extremely precise and performed on a regular basis. Available ECG machines were either stationary or bulky, with a lot of wires, which made them totally unsuitable for everyday wear. That was limiting HRV analysis application to the clinical environment and its potential in full were accessible mostly for astronauts and pro-athletes.

Platform 20K lab developed world’s first one wrist ECG band that performs HRV analysis with the same accuracy as an electrocardiograph. The wristband is ISO / HL7 and HIPAA compliant. It measures >80 health parameters and helps you to get yourself into peak health state, both physical and mental.


Laboratory is conducting experimental and clinical studies of a new varicose treatment technology. Currently, the main methods of treatment of varicose veins are laser coagulation (EVLA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). They apply a thermal impact to the vein using laser or microwaves, so the vein becomes closed, then healed and eventually disappeared.

This new alternative method was developed basing on unique technology, invented at the Institute of Paton - the electric welding of living tissues.

Unlike its EVLA and RFA counterparts, electro-welding technology provides biofeedback during operation. And it’s extremely valuable for surgeons since they can monitor the intensity of their intervention. Endovenous Electric Welding greatly reduces operative and post-operative risks and provides 30% Therapeutic Index increase over both EVLA and RFA.

Efforts have been made to integrate academic health science and practice, physics, engineering design, and management thinking.

As a result, the path from the formulation of an idea to successful clinical use took less than six months.
